Get ready for a day to remember inside the Madejski Stadium. Never before has there been an opportunity quite like this. We have planned, down to every detail, a tournament that will show you what it's like to "Spend a day the pros way".
 
Your team will line-up in the Reading FC tunnel and feel the suspense as they can hear the match day music in the background. The stadium announcer will read the players’ names out as they emerge from the tunnel; embracing the surreal surroundings as they experience surely one of the most exciting times of their lives. As the players walk out onto the pitch, they will join the likes of some of the world’s greatest ever footballers who have graced the hallowed Madejski Stadium turf.  

Every team will play a minimum of four 12 minute matches in this youth football tournament. Under 7’s and 8’s will play on a non-competitive basis as per FA regulations. The format for all other age groups will be group games and then knock-out rounds.

Midway through the football tournament, we will be providing entertainment in the form of Brazilian Samba Performance/ Football Freestyler Show, where an electric atmosphere will be created before the rest of the tournament games commence. Our mascot “Precision Panda” will also be in attendance at the football tournament, signing autographs, shaking hands and providing some light entertainment.

Win, lose or draw, every player will receive a certificate signed by our mascot to remember the youth football tournament held inside Reading FC's Madeski Stadium, and Under 7’s and 8’s will also receive a medal each.

The Tournament ‘Final’ will be treated like the FA Cup final – at the final whistle a trophy presentation will take place, with winners and runners-up all receiving a trophy, and the winning team celebrating in style with bubbly sprayed in the air and the song ‘We are the champions’ echoing around the stadium.

he managers of the finalists will then have a good humoured press interview where they will be filmed infront of the advertising boards in the tunnel, answering questions about their team's performance in the tournament final. Maybe you might want to read Arsene Wenger’s ‘big book of excuses’ to prepare yourself for the questions!

During the football tournament, we will have a film crew in attendance, capturing every minute of every game. These DVDs will be made available to order on the day of the football tournament, or on our website after the tournament.
 
There will also be professional photographers in attendance at the football tournament. They will be capturing as many action shots and general photos of the tournament as possible, so that players’ and friends/family alike have the opportunity to remember the tournament even more.

You are of course welcome to bring your own camera/video recorder if you would prefer to capture the football tournament yourself. Entrance for specators on the day of the tournament is free of charge, so bring as much support as possible!

Start/Finish Times: The youth section of the Reading FC Football tournamament will provisionally start at 8am and finish at 4pm. The youth section will be split into different age groups with each age group required at the stadium for roughly 3 hours. Exact registration and kick-off times will be sent to the team manager after booking.
